Need a night off from the kids?
Themed around Canada’s Sesquicentennial (a fancy word for Canada’s 150th Birthday), the festival is hosting our second annual adult-only fundraising dinner, Kidsfest After Hours.
Kidsfest After Hours will start with a creative cocktail gathering in Olympic Plaza, lead into a one of a kind tour through Kidsfest’s home for the week, Arts Commons, and end with a wine-paired tasting menu in the newly renovated Jack Singer Rehearsal Hall. Other excitement for the evening includes a behind-the-scenes, sport, spa and get-away inspired silent auction, stuffed balloon prize raffle with prizes ranging from high end jewelry to fun local activities and so much more!
All proceeds from this event support Calgary International Children’s Festival, including our kidsmART and Operation kidSMILE programs. Only 100 tickets available! Kidsfest After Hours is exclusively spectacular.
Can’t make the night, but still feel like giving?
Why not donate instead?
Festival leadership work with the Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District to provide complimentary tickets and transportation for up to 3,000 children from low income households (Kindergarten through grade 6) who would otherwise be unable to afford tickets or have the ability to attend and participate in the 2017 Calgary International Children’s Festival.
Some children only dream about the festival, because they cannot leave the Alberta Children’s Hospital. And since they can’t come to us, we bring the colours, sounds and laughter of the F festival to them. This year, Kidsfest presents a special performance of Puppet State Theatre’s The Man Who Planted Trees at Alberta Children’s Hospital.
