The Swinging Belles Workshop

Hailing from Newfoundland, JUNO Award winners The Swinging Belles will provide a culturally rich and educational workshop for elementary classroom teachers. This 75-minute workshop will cover the tradition of Newfoundland folksongs and how to teach students to reimagine traditional folklore in their own words.

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo Workshop

Thursday, May 25 at 4:30 PM in the ATP Rehearsal Hall, Arts Commons
$35 per person

GRAMMY Award winner Secret Agent 23 Skidoo will show elementary school teachers how to use hip hop in the classroom to teach aspects of English Language Arts. He will demonstrate literary techniques such as alliteration, rhymes, and structure, and give teachers tools they need to teach hip hop song creation in their classes.
